The Texas Health, Racquet & Sports club Association (THRSA) is a non-profit trade association created to promote the interests and address the needs of the health and fitness club industry in Texas. Ramiro served as founding chairman from 1996 to 1999.

The Brazos River Authority is responsible for overseeing the water resources that serve large parts of central and south-central Texas. Ramiro Galindo was first appointed to the Board of Directors by Governor Bill Clements in 1989 and reappointed by Governor George Bush in 1995. His tenure ended in 2001.

St. Joseph's Regional Health Center is a non- profit hospital chartered by the Sisters of St. Francis, based in Sylvania, Ohio, and serves the health care needs of the Brazos Valley in central Texas and surrounding counties. Ramiro Galindo served on the Board of Trustees from 1984 to 1996 and was the chairman of the Finance Committee from 1988 to 1996.

In 1989, Ramiro Galindo assumed the leadership of DeCoty Coffee, the only coffee roasting company in west Texas. As Chairman of the Board and CEO, he restored the company to profitability by the end of 1991. DeCoty Coffee continues to operate profitably and has been sold by its original owners for a significant gain.

As a result of the growth in the Galindo Group companies in the late 1970's, Ramiro Galindo and a group of associates founded Western National Bank of Bryan, Texas in 1982. Ramiro served as a member of the Board of Directors until 1986.

The University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas is one of the crown jewels of private higher education in the Texas Gulf Coast Area and is sponsored by the Basilian Fathers of Toronto, Canada. Ramiro Galindo served on the Board of Trustees from 1979 to 1985.

In 1977, Ramiro Galindo was invited to serve on the Board of Directors of Citizens Bank of Bryan, Texas, a state-chartered bank. Ramiro served on the Board until 1981.

Consultores Galindo, Ltda. was founded by Ramiro Galindo in 1964. Since its inception, it has served as an employer of talented Bolivian engineers, and over the years has amassed an invaluable bank of knowledge and wealth of human capital intimately familiar with the development of Bolivia. Ramiro Galindo continued to be active in policy oversight and promotion of the firm until 1997.
